Dave Stanley – Dave owned the Reno Fly Shop for almost 30 years and has guided in the area for longer than that.  He grew up in Virginia and started fishing when he was old enough to hold a rod.  A move to Reno after college changed his focus and the opportunity to make a living in the fly fishing business changed his life.  He has fished extensively throughout North and Central America over the years, in many salt and freshwater destinations.  Dave really enjoys teaching people the sport of fly fishing and sharing the waters in the Reno Tahoe area with anglers of all skill levels, ages and interests.  Kids are some of his favorite clients.  When not on the water fishing, he can usually be found chasing waterfowl with family, friends and a Labrador retriever!
